Thank you Daddy!!!

Lance that is!! He put Alli's bed together last night and it is beautiful might I add!! I am really getting excited now! We don't have a mattress yet, but I couldn't wait to see what it was going to look like with the bedding, so I tried it out! Before I could leave for work today I had to go in there to check it out again, I just love it!! Thanks Gigi and Pops for the crib!

Ending Week 25

So things are going good!! I can't believe I am so close to the 3rd trimester, but I guess time flies when you're having fun, or growing a belly!! I was reading my "What to expect when you're expecting" book last night to Lance and it said that we could pick up a 2lb roast (the next time we go to the grocery store) and that's the size of the baby!! That's crazy, I'm carrying a 2lb roast inside of me!!
Anyways, thanks to the wonderful sister and brother-in-law, we now have Alli's crib at the house. Lance should be working on getting it up this week so hopefully I will have pictures to show everyone!! I can't wait!

What a weekend...

Well it was really a long weekend! On Thursday I meet Lance at his parent's house in Benton (he had to work that morning) for a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. I think I am still full from it! Oh, and everyone loved my two casseroles, so thanks Tinker for your help!!
Right before Lance went back to work he decided to take a ride on his brother Trace's dirt bike. I was a little worried he would come back with a broken limb, since he is accident prone, but to my surprise, he came back in one piece!! He went back to work for a few hours and I headed home to meet Chris, Jana, and Noah for our trip to Pop and Gigi's house.

We stayed up pretty late considering we were getting up for the Black Friday shopping. But we had a list of everything store we were going to , in the order they opened, and what we needed at each one. My brother in law loves Black Friday and made sure we were prepared! So we got up "late" at 3:00 and headed to Kohls. Chris and Jordan decided they weren't going to wait in the line so Jana and I got out and waiting for maybe 2 minutes and the doors opened. We knew someone in line so we got in and out of the store, with everything we needed, in 15 minutes (Sorry to the people we skipped in front of). Chris headed to Walmart while we shopped in Kohls and dropped Jordan off at Target at 4:15 to wait in line until they opened at 6!! Poor Boo Boo. Jana and I then headed to Sears and once again, was in and out within about 20 minutes. So we headed to Target to wait in line, and by that time Chris was there. Some people thought we were skipping, but we didn't, I promise. Oh and I went and got Jordan some breakfast while she was in line all by herself, so she didn't starve. It took us a little longer to get out of target, but we were out of there after about 30 minutes, with all our goodies we went for!! While Chris and I were in line to check out, Jordan and Jana went and got a table at IHOP for the real breakfast. It has become a tradition of ours on Black Friday. So after a little breakfast we headed to the mall. After one store I was literally wore out and my feet were swollen. However, I needed to finish my shopping and I was determined to do so. So my sisters and Chris thought it would be funny to get a wheelchair to push me in! So not funny, and I was embarrassed. They would take turns on who was going to push me and I did let them push me for a little while, but I got out at every store and it pretty much became our bag holder. So if you saw me, I promise I am not that lazy!! We finally made it home around 2 and I must say that over all, it was not a bad shopping day. I got ALL my shopping taken care of, with the exception of Jana!
Here are some pictures from our shopping experience. Noah also got a big boy car seat and by the pictures, I think he likes it!
Jackie's birthday is today, so we had a birthday gathering at the parent's house on Friday afternoon. So it was a fun celebration. Happy Birthday Jackie!!
Lance and I decorated our house for Christmas this weekend. I am excited to have that taken care of. Also, I cleaned out the baby's room some more so that when my dad brings her baby bed this week, we will have room to put it up. I am getting so excited!! Have a good week.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I am so ready for my Thanksgiving Break! Lance and I are traveling to Shreveport tomorrow afternoon to have Thanksgiving with his dad and Felicia. So I am going to make the corn casserole and green bean casserole tonight with help from the lovely Tinker and Aunt Boo. I have been looking for a good corn casserole recipe for two days and I couldn't find one I liked. So when all else fails, what do you do? Well I call mom!! She offered to come up tonight to help me cook and it works out great because Lance is going hunting in Tensas this afternoon. So instead of me being home alone, I will have visitors. Maybe I can talk Noah's mommy into bringing him by since I won't get to see him (and Jana) until Thursday afternoon. Jana seems to think that when you have a child no one wants to see you anymore, they just want to see the child. But I have to disagree with that because I still want to see Jana all the time! The best part of that is that I do see her EVERYDAY, since we are blessed to be able to work on campus together. I love my sisters!

For an update on the pregnancy, there is no question that I am pregnant! When I found out that we were having a girl, I didn't feel like I looked that pregnant, but it seems like over a weeks period I ballooned!! After we moved in the house and got somewhat settled, she decided to have a growth spurt, or I decided sugar was my best friend! Either way, I have gained a total of 12 pounds, 7 of those 12 were gained this last month!! I told Mr. Mc that I had been walking 20 to 30 minutes 4-5 days a week and that it shocks me to know that I gained THAT much!! But he said that it was not a big deal at all as long as I didn't gain 7 pounds each month and that I could watch my sugar to make sure that doesn't happen. As soon as I got out of my appointment I called Jana because I didn't think I was eating that much sugar. But I guess having an ice cream sandwich at lunch was not helping the situation at all!! But Alli is growing and still moving all the time which is great. I think she is weighing in around 1lb and a half! (In the picture I was at the end of my 24 weeks. Since then, I have retired my favorite t-shirt!

Have a great Thanksgiving!

The Weekend is here, FINALLY!!!

It has been one busy payroll week for me, but I am happy to say that payroll is over! I was so organized that I was able to process it a day earlier than I normally do!! YAY for me!! I am so glad it's over though.

This weekend I get to see my good friend Ashley on Saturday
AND my good friend Katie G. on Sunday!

I am so lucky to get to see them this weekend. Jana and I are going to see baby cousin Ty at Tink's tomorrow and I hope to do a little shopping since I will be in Monroe. I really need to start that so why not tomorrow. Lance is going to be out of town ALL weekend for drill so I figured I could get a jump start on the Christmas purchases.

The house is coming along. Every room is pretty much finished except for the baby's room. We don't have everything hung yet, because we didn't want to put holes in the walls just yet, but I am getting a little hammer crazy and ready to get that taken care of. The baby, which we have decided to name "Alli 'Middle Name' Hancock", now has bedding for her bed, and I was just notified yesterday that her bed was picked up by her Pops. That is our Christmas present from Pops and Gigi so I told them to keep it until Christmas. However, I don't know if I can wait that long to get it up!!

So here are the most recent pictures of the bay-bay!! I will be 6 months on Tuesday and currently I have gained 8 pounds. I'm sure I won't keep track of that once I hit a certain number!! Have a great weekend.

Better late than never

I am just now getting a chance to post my pictures from Halloween. Since the time has changed, and it gets dark so early, I don't feel like doing anything when I get off. I usually cook dinner then get straight into my pj's and usually I am in bed by 8:15 or 8:30. To tell you the truth, I love going to bed early, because I have been getting up earlier to eat breakfast with my husband! I also have to walk the dog in the morning, but that's another issue!!

If you read Jana's blog you already know that Wallace (a.k.a. Chance) went back home after a 2 week stay with us. I knew not to get attached to that dog and as soon as I did, BAM, the owners call!! But he's back at home and even though my Willis is annoying and hyper all the time, I would want someone to let me know if they found him. So since Wallce flew the coop, Willis won't eat and acts like a lion in a cage. I will put food out for him and before I can sit down in the house, I can hear him turn over the food bowl! He is now the only dog in the garage and it's very evident he doesn't like it. Our fence should get built this week so that he can run around outside, but we still need to get him a companion so he won't act like a baby. But then again, would it be easier just to give him away to a good family? Nah, I can't do that!

This weekend seemed like it was nonstop!! I was so tired by the time I got home on Friday that I went to bed at 8 and didn't wake up until 8:30 the next morning!! Then when Lance got off work, we rode to Shreveport to get a few maternity clothes (that fit), and swung by his parents for just a minute. Halliburton put on a dinner later than night for their employees in Lance's division so everyone could get to know each other and meet their wives. I enjoyed my meal which consisted of: appitezers, steak and baked potato, AND dessert!! And I had a total of 3 refills so needless to say, my trips to the bathroom added up!! But I went to the dinner very hungry and I think I got my monies worth, or should I say Halliburton did!

I am going to leave you with pictures from Halloween. I was so excited because I thought I would have trick-or-treaters since we are in a new neighborhood. So you will see in the pictures, I was prepared!! I dressed the dogs up too, but Willis couldn't act right, so they went back in the garage after pictures. Also, Noah dressed up as a cow, but by the time he got to Aunt Jay Jay's house, he was out and by out I mean out of the costume and out for the night!!

Have a good week!

I don't know where anything is!

So this past weekend Lance and I moved into a new house. We absolutely love the new pad, but I can't find anything I need. I am so ready to have it in order and all put together. I don't have any pictures yet, but I will get some on here soon.

Since we've moved, the pups have had to stay in the garage all day and all night. Our fence has not been built yet, so they are stuck in the garage. Since we've had some pretty cold nights lately, I bought a heater for them to be warm. I also bought some sweaters for them which I think make them look precious, however, Willis doesn't like his too much. The past two mornings I went to check on them and Willis was naked!!! I don't know how he does it, but it's off every morning.

Here are some pictures from the past two days. Hope to update more pictures soon.

Don't you love my attire?!!!

This picture cracks me up!! I was trying to take a picture of Willis and he ran under Lance's legs!! Lance was working on the heater and didn't even notice I took the picture!!

IT'S A GIRL!!

Most of you probably already now, but if not, we found out on Tuesday that we are having a little girl and super excited!! The Ultrasound Tech said we are measuring about 19 weeks and a few days, but Dr. McWhorter said we are going to stick to the due date that was first started (March 10) and if needed, push it back later. Other than that, everything looked good. She looks like she's going to be tall, because every limb was really long. She's very active and moves around a lot now.

Below is a picture from week 20 that was taken by sister. I hope yall have a great weekend!

DOG FOUND

I helped Lance's granny with a garage sale on Saturday in the Hillcrest area and when we were cleaning up, Cristy Martin stopped by and asked if we had Willis with us. I wasn't sure why she was asking that, but I told her that he was at home in his kennel. Well apparently she saw a small, black dachshund that looked like Willis, and he was walking down the road, probably going to get hit by a car. So I ran over to see the dog and to find out if it had a collar on it. To my surprise, there was no collar, and the dog was so sweet. So I brought it over to Granny's house to show Lance what I found and he liked the dog too. Being the good samaritans that we are, we decided we would take him to our house and put him in the backyard with Willis and put an ad in the paper for the owners to contact us. Before we left to take him home, we already decided we would call him Wallace!! Don't ask where that came from, but Lance has named all our pooches so you may want to ask him!! But the dog has been doing just fine and they have been getting along perfectly. So if anyone knows the owner of this dog, please let me know. (Note: as you can see in the pictures below, Wallace fits right in!!!)

Also, on Saturday Jana let me watch Noah for a little bit while she went to take some pictures. She was running late so all she said was "he ate at 6:30 and won't eat again until 9:30 and I will be back before then"!! I was thinking "he's sleeping now, but what do I do if he cries"!! Well it wasn't long before he woke up and I was faced with the reality of a baby. But he was a very good little boy. He sat with Uncle Lance and watched the LSU game for a little while and just looked around at everything. He had been shopping all day with mom and dad so he was very tired and wanted to fight sleep. Before I knew it, it was 9:20 and mom was not back yet and I had a fussy baby. So I called Jana to get her permission to feed him, and he ate about half the bottle and was OUT!! When Chris and Jana got there I told them he only ate half and I apologize if he is up all night from not eating his bottle. But the next morning she called me and said he slept all night and I must have done something right!! Even though I think he was just extremely tired, the comment made me feel extremely good, like I did something right!!

I will let you all know the results tomorrow!

We don't have much longer...

Til we find out what we are having! Tuesday is the big day and it won't come fast enough! We are so excited! I still think it's a girl, and Lance says it's a boy to be opposite. I think the bigger my belly gets, the more excited he gets and I love it.

Not much has been going on our way, but I wanted to leave you with some pictures. The first one was taken around 19 weeks by Chris and Jana.

These were taken in Jana's office this week. She came by my office and said I needed to come to her office so she could document the change!! It just takes me forever to update! Sorry!

And I can't end a post without a picture of my precious lil punkin of a nephew!!

Have a good weekend.

16 Week Visit

Lance and I went to our 16 week Doctor's apt yesterday and got to see the baby! We first heard the heartbeat and it sounded a lot better than the first time, so I was relieved. Then I mentioned to Dr. McWhorter that I wanted to make sure there was only 1 baby in the belly. So he went and got his handheld ultrasound machine and we looked at the baby. It was so weird to see it moving, but not feeling a thing. He said I should start feeling the baby move in the next week or two. At first he said the baby was real active, then when we tried to get a sneak peak of the sex, he couldn't get the baby to move, and said it was pretty laid back. So I can't tell if it's going to be a laid back baby like Lance or always on the go like me! It was a great visit and Lance was really surprised by the way the baby had grown. The internet says the baby is the size of an avocado.
We scheduled the sonogram for October 21st and it will also be our 20 week check up. Hopefully the baby will let us see what it is!!
I will definitely keep everyone updated!!

We're Growing

Well since the last post, Lance finally came home yesterday from a 3 week stay fighting the hurricanes. I am so happy he is finally home and I know he was excited about sleeping in his own bed and not a cot. I was thinking he was going to come home and notice my belly, but he says he can't tell. I think he's just being nice because my clothes tell me differently!

Not much has been going on around our house. I'm still busy with student payroll this week, but next week should be a lot better, or atleast that's what I'm hoping for. This weekend Jana and I, plus the little one, are going to Natchez for a baby shower so we are very excited about showing Noah off to our friends. I know it's crazy but I like to show him off too. I think I have more pictures of him in my office than Jana does, so yes I take the title of the crazy aunt! But I bet Gigi has a lot more than I do.

I received some good news yesterday, we definitely have a babysitter for baby Hancock! Mrs. Dorothy Deason will be keeping him which is so wonderful because Noah goes to her. They are going to have so much fun playing together!

Well I am going to leave you with some belly pics. The first one is from week 9 and the second was taken at the very end of week 14. We go to the Doc on Tuesday so maybe I will have an update on that! Have a good weekend.

It's about time...

I am finally getting a chance to upload some recent pictures. We painted the outside of our house this past weekend and WE are still worn out from it. Lance and I both wanted to paint the outside of the house, but kept pushing it aside. But it is such a good feeling to have it taken care of now. We definitely couldn't have done it without the help of Lance's dad, Felicia, and Trace, thanks to them!
Also this weekend, Tinker and Boo Boo stopped by and brought some cute little gifts for the baby. Willis thought the tickle stuffed animal was for him, but we had to have a little talk to let him know that he needs to start practicing the act of "sharing" soon. I think it's going to be a girl and I seem to have talked my family into thinking the same so brought 3 cute little outfits for her/him (one of course is just for a girl).
Also, Jana and Chris bought us a cute little bib that says "Get your kisses here" and I tried it out on Willis to make sure it worked!
On a different note, Lance is suppose to get activated to New Orleans so keep him in your prayers. Maybe everything will work out and he won't have to stay long. As for our weekend, I am watching Noah Saturday while his mommy and daddy go to the TECH football game, and I can't wait!! Then Sunday Willis and I are going to gigi and pops to stay the night and RELAX!!

Happy Labor Day!
