Better late than never

Right? I have been behind in the blogging world. Jana kept threatening to add pictures if I didn't do it soon, so here I finally am with lots of pictures! For those that may not have heard, Alli is going to be a big sister, already! We were shocked with the news about 3 weeks ago. Our first doctor's appt was this past Monday, and it went well. We're about 6-7 weeks and the due date is scheduled about 4/10/2010!!!
Since my last post, Alli has meet Ginger Johnson and they have grown quite fond of one another. Ginger always wants to hold her and poor thing is just too small. Ginger is 4 years old and weighs about 28 pounds, while Alli is 5 1/2 mths and weighs 14lbs and 8 ounces!! Last time she held Alli, she said "Alli ate too much"!!!
Little miss Alli Cat is a hungry hippo. I had to start feeding her rice cereal around 4 1/2 months. She wasn't sleeping through the night and every time I would eat I noticed her licking her lips so we tried her on some rice and that was all she wrote. Now she gets a jar of baby food at Mrs. Dorothy's and I feed her 2 tablespoons of rice before her last bottle. Caught in the ACT!!! Obviously Noah likes Alli's paci! A while back we went to lake D'Arbonne to stay with the family for the Watermelon festival. on Friday afternoon Jana and I went fishing with Dad, which is something we have always loved to do. In the pictures below you will see the big fish Jana caught and the "big" fish I caught. And yes, I did catch mine on a hookThen later that Saturday we decided we would try out tubing since getting the new boat! It was so much fun.I would say Chris had the most fun! This is Alli in her outfit from Kyla. She loved it if you can't tell.Jana picks Alli up occasionally when I work out and Lance is working. This particular day I came home to a naked baby with a huge bow on her head being pushed around in her walker by her cousin Noah! Then I found these pictures on my camera. Thanks Husband.Lance's birthday was the 14th so we had cake and celebrated by going out to eat that night.Look at Alli's bracelet!!

I Love Monkey!

Alli's nickname is Monkey, or at least that's what I call her. She makes my heart melt, even after keeping me up at night. See the funny thing is that Alli has slept through the night since she was 9 weeks, however, when we moved her to her own bed, across the house, she decided she didn't want to have any part in that!! Alli is great putting herself to sleep after her last bottle, but every night she wakes up. I messed up by going to get her and bringing her back to my room, so now she knows that all she has to do is cry and I am there to get her. So tonight I turned a radio on in her room so that when she wakes up, it will help her go back to sleep (she doesn't sleep in a quiet room, that's why the mobile is so great). And I am going to try to see about letting her cry herself back to sleep. It's so hard when I have to be at work at 7:30 the next morning. But it has to be done!!

Have I mentioned how much I love Monkey?
Can you believe Noah's going to be 1 next week?!! We are going to his party on Saturday.

This is Alli's friend Kyla sharing her ducks!

Noah and Alli. It won't be long and she will be longer than Noah.

This is Alli's new friend Carleigh Perkins. She has a much better tan than Alli at this time, but Alli beats her in the weight category.

Who says she looks like me?

Oh my. I feel like I can't take a breath. Life is so busy right now, but I have to say that I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have left work the past 3 weeks feeling like I didn't get a thing accomplished, but I would have days where I didn't have time to go to the bathroom at work!!

I was sick for 2 weeks, Alli for 1 week, then this week Mrs. Dorothy was closed, so I just knew I was going to fall apart! But we got Alli feeling better, then me, and then Jordan came through for us to watch Alli. Lance had to take Alli to the doctor last week because I couldn't miss anymore work. Poor thing, they drew blood and did chest x-rays only to not find a reason why she was running a 101.9 fever other than it's just a viral infection. Well the nurse had a hard time getting Alli's blood, and Lance was having to hold the baby down. The nurse even started tearing up so Lance had to tell her that that was enough! It killed him having to "hold" down his baby while she was in pain. I went to Alli's 4 month check up today and Dr. Slusher said more than once, how good Lance handled the situation! So that made Lance feel good. At first I felt bad because I thought the mom needed to be there when their baby is sick, but Lance is just as capable as I am.

But we had a great 4th of July weekend and I turned 24 on Monday! It has definitely been a challenging year, but I have never felt so blessed as I do now!!

Sorry for the Wait

We are still here! So much has gone on, I don't even know where to start. I have been under the weather since Saturday, but it's just a summer cold and will take at least a week to get out of my system! YAY!! But Alli, she is growing so much. We (Dorothy and I) think she is teething. She can't go without a bib or her whole onesie will be soaked, she can't seem to get enough of those hands in her mouth, and every now and then she is fussy. She has been congested lately and I took her to the doctor only for the doc to walk in to a happy, smiling baby!! Yeah, I am the mother that takes her child in saying something's wrong, and she is perfectly fine! I would rather be over cautious than not. But some good news is that she as doubled in size, now weighing 12 lbs, 13 ounces!!
I have uploaded many pictures. Most are from vacation, with a few others. I hope I don't get behind again in the blogging world.
How precious are these pics of Lance and his mini me!!

This is her "green" outfit from her Nana (Lance's mom).

The Thomas 3

She looks just like her momma! Yeah Right!

Ths was how Noah rode in the wagon!

When Noah got upset, I would put him in Alli's stroller and roll him around the condo. He absolutely loved it. When you tried to get him out, he would start crying! He also loved cuddling with Alli's pink binky, which I am sure Chris didn't care to much for.

Alli's 1st bikini!

Alli loved wearing Noah's crocks. She thought it was hilarious that he had no idea.

Loving on Aunt Boo Boo

Morning smiles with Pops

"Are we really at LULU'S?!! I can't believe it"

Sweet Alli P!

Alli's first bath in the kitchen sink

She was a little modest, and didn't want to show her face!

Now cousin Noah on the oher hand, he was not modest!
Sorry Noah, I had to do it!

Alli's first time to the beach. She pretty much slept the whole time.

Guess who's talking!!

Alli Posey Hancock is talking these days, baby talk that is. Saturday Jana and I had a garage sale so Gigi came to stay and watch Alli for me. And somehow, she got Alli to start talking, at least we will give her the credit! It is music to my ears and makes me want to cry, tears of joy of course.
After church Alli and I headed to Pop and Fefe's house to stay the night. Alli got a chance to wear her new bathing suit that Hannah Lee gave her. Isn't it precious!! I put her feet in the water to try it out and she cried! I was shocked because she loves baths, but I realized Alli likes hot water, not cold water. So maybe we should start off with a hot tub. Just kidding. I hope we can get her to like it next week while we are at the beach. Sunday Felicia and I layed out for a little while, literally maybe 1 hour. I look like a lobster! And of course I didn't turn over, so I got a tan on one side of my body!!!

4 more work days then off to the beach. Well actually, Meg and Scotty are getting married Saturday so the Hancock household aren't going to leave until Sunday. Below are some pictures of the little Alli. She has discovered her thumb and hand, so most of the time they are in her mouth! Saturday, Jana and I were a little delirious from 3 hours of sleep! So we thought it would be a good idea to have Alli try on all her hats and sunglasses for the beach. As you will see, Alli didn't mind at all.

Alli's favorite cousin. He loves pizza. I think his mom said he ate 2 pieces this night!
Date night a while back. We went to see Cross Canadian, but it started raining before they performed.

Busy as a bee

When did life get so busy? I feel like I have not gotten caught up at work since I got back. That could be because I am learning how to evaluate transcripts as a back up. Also, I think when the word got out I was back, people have been calling off the hook to welcome me back.

Lance has been in Texas since last Thursday working so Alli and I have been spending a lot of time together. We stayed at Jana and Chris' last Friday night and Chris held Alli for the first time!!

On Saturday, Jana watched Alli and Noah while I went to meg and Scotty's couples shower that we helped throw.

Once that was over, Jana and I headed to Farmerville to spend Mother's day with Tinker. On Sunday Alli and Noah dressed up in River Oaks apparel to take a picture with Aunt Boo Boo for her ad. I think the caption should read "Rah Rah Roo, We love you Aunt Boo Boo", but she didn't go for that!

Lance and I are headed to Shreveport this weekend to stay with his parents. If the weather cooperates, Alli is going to take her first swim! Also, my good friend Ashley is having her baby shower. Then later we hope to go to the Cross Canadian Ragweed concert on Saturday, on our 2nd date.

Oh I almost forgot, Alli is sleeping through the night!! I can't believe it!

Also, I want to say Congratulations to Hannah, Nick, and Jackson!! Can't wait for baby #2.

2 Months

I am a little behind on blogging about Alli's 2 month check up. Dr. Slusher says everything looks great!! She was 9lbs and 14 oz! I thought she was bigger than that, but really she's just long and skinny. Definitely doesn't get that from her momma. But she is in the 50 percentile for her height and a little above the 25th percentile for her weight. I have been waiting on the chunky legs, but they just aren't getting there fast enough! Her hair is more red than ever and we can't get enough of it! It's so much fun!!

Alli watching Lance eat. She loves her daddy! Also, last night she slept through the night for the first time. She actually woke up around 4, but when I put her paci in her mouth, she went right back to sleep!! We will see if this becomes a habit! Lance is working in Texas for the next week, so he had to get the yard mowed. Like everywhere else, it's been raining so much so our yard really needed some attention. When Alli and I came around the corner from our daily walk, this is what we saw:
Sorry ladies, he's taken!!
