My babies

Boy are they growing so fast!! John Walker is such a great baby, so calm and laid back. It is such a blessing to have a good baby since I am chasing Alli around the house at all times. God sure did know what he was doing!! I like to say John Walker is a little on the "lazy side" but everyone keeps telling me it's just a boy thing. We are working on sitting up, but he is not interested at all. He has had 2 double ear infections in the past month, so that could be our problem.

Alli on the other hand is not so calm. She is a busy body and she definitely keeps me on my toes. She is starting to put words together such as "sit down momma" and "night night bubba." She talks all the time and it looks like we may try to potty train soon. I don't know where to start!

Our house is for sale at this time since we decided to move to Texarkana. It was so hard being a single mom with two little ones during the week. Lance helped out a lot on the weekends he was here, but I am too exhausted. I am very excited about the move and the next chapter of our lives.

I hope you enjoy the recent pictures of my babies! Have a great week.

It's a BOY!!

Yes, John Walker was born March 26 at 11:14 weighing in at 7 lbs 4oz and 19 3/4 inches long!! Late, I know, but life has been so crazy!! John Walker stayed in the NICU for 2 days for his rapid breathing due to taking on a lot of fluid during delivery. Delivery was again great and I was in labor and didn't know it, again. You would think I would never forget those contractions, but I did. Alli loves her brother, but I have to say she didn't know what to think when he came home. She called him a dog and a cat at first, but she has grown to truly love him. We are still working on her touching him "softly" which is getting better. When I burp him she likes to help me and she's learned how to tickle so she runs to his feet and says "tick, tick, tick" while she plays with them! It is precious! The next picture shows how much Alli loves to be a girly girl with her dress, bow and bracelets, but she would rather be in dirt with her tenni's on!!Gigi's favorite pictures...

Pop's fishing buddy.
DON'T LOOK ETHEL!!!!

Don't let that precious face fool you!! Alli has one red-headed temper and it's hilarious. She runs our house and she knows it. It is never a dull moment.

I am sad to say that I am husband-less for a few months. Lance took a job with the U.S. Marshals that includes a 4 month academy. He left when John Walker was 3.5 months old. We are going to visit on Memorial Day weekend for a much needed vacation. So needless to say, life has been crazy wonderful. Now that I am back at work, we have gotten into a routine and smooth sailing, well as much as you can with a 14 month old and 7 week old. They are truly a blessing and I love my life God has blessed me with! Hey, who needs sleep, right?!!

5.5 weeks oldThis is Alli at 6 weeks, any resemblance? And the next is a 5 week old Alli.

Where did my little baby go? It makes me so sad and now that John Walker has come along, I realize that she has grown up so fast! But she's still a baby!

Well as you can see from the pictures, I think Alli had a great 1st Birthday!! She had so much fun playing with all the kiddos and of course the presents she got!! The last picture cracks me up because if you look close, Noah is on the floor playing with paper and he looks like he is up to no good!! He is so funny! That definitely looks like a Chris face!
Alli still is not walking, but she definitely takes steps. I am not going to rush it though. John Walker will be here Friday, March 26, so I am counting down the days! I would love for him to come before then, but we found out Wednesday that Lance has the hand, foot, mouth disease so the longer he waits, the better Lance will be!
Have a great weekend!

Random Update

I know I am a terrible blogger! But on the flip side, everything has been going great in the Hancock household. Alli will be 1 on March 5th, so I've been planning her 1st birthday party. Baby boy Hancock (John Walker) will make is debut about a week or two after Alli turns 1!! Yes, I've been busy, but it's been fun. I have so much to do to get Alli's party together, little brother's room ready, and every other house duty you can think of.

Alli has grown so much and it breaks my heart. However, I feel terrible for wanting her to walk before the baby gets here, but I really don't know if that would actually be better. She stands a lot and pushes her toys around the house laughing at everyone and it warms my heart. I love love love that little Alli P. and I can't wait to meet our new addition!

Better late than never

Right? I have been behind in the blogging world. Jana kept threatening to add pictures if I didn't do it soon, so here I finally am with lots of pictures! For those that may not have heard, Alli is going to be a big sister, already! We were shocked with the news about 3 weeks ago. Our first doctor's appt was this past Monday, and it went well. We're about 6-7 weeks and the due date is scheduled about 4/10/2010!!!
Since my last post, Alli has meet Ginger Johnson and they have grown quite fond of one another. Ginger always wants to hold her and poor thing is just too small. Ginger is 4 years old and weighs about 28 pounds, while Alli is 5 1/2 mths and weighs 14lbs and 8 ounces!! Last time she held Alli, she said "Alli ate too much"!!!
Little miss Alli Cat is a hungry hippo. I had to start feeding her rice cereal around 4 1/2 months. She wasn't sleeping through the night and every time I would eat I noticed her licking her lips so we tried her on some rice and that was all she wrote. Now she gets a jar of baby food at Mrs. Dorothy's and I feed her 2 tablespoons of rice before her last bottle. Caught in the ACT!!! Obviously Noah likes Alli's paci! A while back we went to lake D'Arbonne to stay with the family for the Watermelon festival. on Friday afternoon Jana and I went fishing with Dad, which is something we have always loved to do. In the pictures below you will see the big fish Jana caught and the "big" fish I caught. And yes, I did catch mine on a hookThen later that Saturday we decided we would try out tubing since getting the new boat! It was so much fun.I would say Chris had the most fun! This is Alli in her outfit from Kyla. She loved it if you can't tell.Jana picks Alli up occasionally when I work out and Lance is working. This particular day I came home to a naked baby with a huge bow on her head being pushed around in her walker by her cousin Noah! Then I found these pictures on my camera. Thanks Husband.Lance's birthday was the 14th so we had cake and celebrated by going out to eat that night.Look at Alli's bracelet!!
