How much longer???

I just don't understand why Alli wants to torture me another week! I am only kidding, but yes, it will be at least another week before we get to meet Miss Alli Posey Hancock. I think she gets this stubbornness from her daddy, because if she took after her mommy, she would already be here (that's what I tell Lance :)). I went to see Dr. Mc yesterday and he was sad to say that we had not progressed anymore, still at 1 centimeter plus some. So I asked the question if he thought there was anyway she could come early, meaning did he think she would be early. He began talking about inducing if I had not had her by next Tuesday (week 39). So I was very shocked because he wouldn't talk about inducing my friends until they reached their due date. He has been saying for a while now that she is going to be a small baby, but when he felt her yesterday he made the comment "You're baby is almost the size of you"! I was not surprised, but I think he would rather have her a little early so she's not so big. I have been saying all alone that she was going to be a chunk!! So Lance and I have some thinking to do. We have always said that we didn't want to be induced for the "convenience" but Jana kept telling me "wait til your 9 months pregnant" and she was right. So pray that we will have her this week so we don't have to make that decision. Dr. Mc said it is very possible for us to have her before next Tuesday, so lets hope so!!
On to other news, her room is finished. Well I say that, we do have to hang 3 things on the wall and wait on the chair to come in, but other than that, we are just waiting on Alli to make her appearance!! Jana got me organized these past two days and all her clothes are washed and ready!! Lance and I love to go in there and look around and talk about what we can't wait for. Last night we sat in there in the dark watching her mobile!! I know, we have no idea what's in store us!!

I am leaving you with a picture of the tutu table Jana and I made for Alli's room. It is absolutely precious. Jana has a better picture of it on her blog at chrisandjana.blogspot.com.

Little Miss Piggie

That would be me!! I thought I was ready before but the bigger I get, the more uncomfortable I feel. My feet really didn't swell much until yesterday. Now I wake up with sore feet and instead of walking, I waddle!! I think it's funny and my sister gets a kick out of it. You should see me when I try to walk fast! Every morning Lance asks me "Is today the day"? I sweetly say, NO!! I know it's going to happen when she's ready, blah, blah, blah!! I went to my 37th week check up on Tuesday and I have dilated one centimeter plus some!! I was very happy to hear that, but I know not to get my hopes up because I may not progress anymore. We will just have to keep our fingers crossed for next week.
We FINALLY have a dresser in Alli's room!! I thought this day would never come. We ordered one and it was delivered in 4 days. It took Lance about 5 hours to put it together! I promised that I would never make him put together anything else. While he was working on the dresser, Jana and I were making the curtains a little more girly. (Side note: Alli's bedding is paisley, but I didn't want her room to be all pink. So I bought some green curtains that matched her bedding. Then to bring in some more paisley, I ordered fabric that matched and had Jana dress them up). It didn't take Lance long to break out the power tools while putting it together. Jana and I cracked up listening to him using it, it definitely didn't call for "power" tools. After he finished, we went straight to filling it up with clothes. I had so much fun organizing her little room. Everyday Lance makes a trip to her room to make sure he knows where the important things are. I think it's so cute. Her room is finished, except for hanging a few things on the wall. Hopefully we can take care of that this weekend. I was hoping I could put Pops on that, because I know he would do a great job at it!! Hint, Hint!!
The curtain rod has a hot pink diamond on the end with a little bit of pink boa! Mom saw it in a store and knew I would love it!
I have my last shower this Sunday in Shreveport, then off Monday and Tuesday for Mardi Gras!!! I can't wait! I hope you all have a great week and if something happens, look at Jana's blog. I am sure she will keep you all posted better than I will!!

I can't believe it!!

I only have about four more weeks!!! I really can't believe it. It took so long until we found out we were having a girl and then bam, I am 36 weeks pregnant and waiting to deliver. Time flies when you are having fun, or just eating a lot, as I am!!
I went to the doctor today and Tinker was able to make the trip. Dr. McWhorter did a little ultrasound on her so it was wonderful seeing how big she was. The best news was that she definitely is a she and she is head down and ready to come out!! I have been having so much pressure so I knew she was down, but lately it's been very evident she's down!! Next week he will start checking me to see if I have progressed any. I keep telling myself not to get my hopes up because it's probably going to be a little while before she makes her debut.
Before the appointment, my co-workers threw me a shower. I had such a great time and I am so greatful for the wonderful people I work with. I couldn't ask for better co-workers!! Thanks to all of them!!

This is a blanket and pillow made by Mrs. Mary. This picture doesn't show it very well, but Alli's name is monogrammed on the blanket!

Ever since we found out we were having a little girl, Lance kept saying he was going to buy her a doll house once she got old enough. Well I needed a shelf for her room and I found this one at Target. Lance put it together and we couldn't be happier with it!This is the stroller/carseat we recieved. Lance got upset with me because this was suppose to be part of his "daddy duty" and I put it together before he could. It's tiring being pregnant.I guess my charm doesn't work everytime!! I still love you Noah. This is some pictures from the shower we had in Ruston a while back. I am a little behind with pictures.

I'm still here!

I know, I know!! It's been entirely too long since the last post and boy has a lot gone on!! For starters, Lance and I finished our child birthing classes and feel a lot more informed about what to expect. I mean can you really be fully prepared for labor? I don't know, but I do have a plan for how I think things will happen and my bag is half-packed! I need to work on that, I guess.
We had an amazing shower in Ruston on the 24th and I cannot tell you how blessed Lance and I are to have such amazing people in our lives. We are so blessed and cannot thank everyone enough. I have added some pictures from the shower below.

Lance had to leave the day after the shower for training in Houston so that was sad, but we only have 2 more weeks left!! He has been able to come home on the weekends, so that makes me happy. I get so busy during the weekdays anyway, and I go to bed around 8:30 so it's nice to have him there on the weekends, not working. His training will be completed on February 20th, so when he comes home I will be the size of a whale!! It will be funny!! For some reason I won't do a thing during the week in Alli's room, but as soon as he comes home I want to do everything and I want it done at that moment. So last weekend I put Alli's stroller together and Lance had no idea. I wanted to get it all together then stroll it into the living room to show him how cute it is. Well I put it together, and right before I went to roll it out, I find out that the stroller will not open. Yep, somehow I have messed something up and don't know where. So Lance is going to retrace my steps to see what is wrong with it. Also, he wasn't too happy with me doing his "daddy duty"!! He wanted to put the stroller together, but like I side, when I need things done, I need them done right then!! Sorry Lance!

On the other hand, I am now going to the doctor every week, which is so crazy to me!! He will start checking "the progress" around week 37, which should be around the 17th. He is sure that our baby is going to be a small one, but if you looked at me, I don't see how she doesn't weigh 10 lbs already!! I mean, come on!! I have gained 25 lbs so far, so I am on track, but thanks to my short height, I look like I've gained 50 already! Who's counting though, I will worry about it later. I keep telling the doctor that I was 8'12 (which he can't believe) and Lance was 7'15 so I am planning on an 8 lb baby. All he says is "for your sake, I hope she comes out smaller than 8 lbs". I just want a chunky little baby, preferably a girl since that is what we have been planning for!!
Alli's room is still not complete. We are waiting on her dresser. Her bed is antique white so I wanted a dresser (that will also be her changing table) that was antique white. Well before Christmas (Dec 23rd to be exact), Lance and I went to Rock-a-bye Baby in West Monroe to get a mattress for her bed. While we were there, we found a dresser, that comes in antique white, that was a good price, so we decided to order it. We were promised the dresser would be in by January 15th, which was great because Lance would still be in town to pick it up. Well January 15th rolls on by, so I emailed the owner on the 17th and he said it would be in on the 20th or 21st. No big deal I thought, until that week. On the 23rd I called and he said the truck is running late and would deliver it on Monday and he would deliver it to me (free of charge) that Tuesday. Well that day passes and no call or dresser. So last Saturday I took a trip to visit Mr. Rock-a-bye Baby and I told him I wanted it in writing that my dresser was coming in on Monday. He said, that he needed to check to see if it came in already because he had a late load the night before. When he comes out he has a huge smile on his face and says to me "Jamie, it's here, I will deliver it Monday". I said, "Oh it's here, I will take it today" and I could tell he was like "are you sure"!! I told him I would be back with a truck. So I called Lance and told him the good news so he heads to W. Monroe to pick up the dresser. As soon as we walk in the store he says to us "Sorry, that wasn't your dresser"!!!! Yes, he did! We were so mad!! So we left the store with him promising to call me on Monday, but to no surprise no call. So Lance sent him an email on Tuesday saying that if the dresser was not delivered by that afternoon, we would take our business elsewhere. He wrote right back and said it will be there by five!! Once again, no dresser, no call!! So Lance went to visit him again on Thursday and got our money back!! Pretty much he never ordered the dresser and was lying to us the whole time. If you read the reviews on his store, he seems to do this alot. So I would advice everyone NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE. So we still have no dresser!!

Tonight Lance and I are heading out to the Thomas' (my sisters) to play some poker. Well, correction, I am not going to play poker, Lance is. I stink at poker, so I am making a dip so that I can munch on and I plan on keeping Noah up as late as possible. But we aren't going to tell his momma that! What are aunts for?!!!

The first few pictures below are some that Jana came over and took for my scrapbook and the shower. It's so much fun having a photographer sister!!
